Accessibility in Hear This

Hear This gives musicians a calm place to listen, learn and explore. We want that place to be welcoming and usable for people with different access needs.

Supported features

The iPhone app supports:

You can choose Dusk in Hear This. Reduce Motion is available in your iPhone’s Accessibility settings.

Screen readers and readability

Hear This includes spoken control labels, selected states and musical descriptions for supported notation. We have also improved dialog navigation and text readability.

VoiceOver support is still being refined. Spoken feedback can overlap musical examples in some listening activities, and we have not established complete support across every task. We do not currently list full VoiceOver or Voice Control support.

Larger text and contrast improvements are also underway. We have not yet established complete support for Apple’s Larger Text or Sufficient Contrast labels.

The features described here apply to the iPhone app.

Contact us
